You can explore the gallery and take in some of the most iconic paintings and sculptures of the 19th century.
For a historical fix, Guildford Castle is one of the oldest buildings in Surrey and is home to a museum and art gallery. The castle dates back to the 11th century and offers amazing views of the town and surrounding countryside. There are also guided tours of the castle, making it a great place for visitors to explore and learn more about its history.
Surrey is also home to a number of great markets, including the weekly Guildford Farmers’ Market. Here you can find a wide selection of fresh local produce, as well as handmade crafts and gifts. With its charming cobbled streets, buzzing markets, and independent boutiques, Guildford is a great place to spend an afternoon.
